Ferreira Ruby Porto is produced from a careful selection of traditional red grapes from the Douro region: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela, selected in Ferreira’s own farms and in surrounding vineyards. Ferreira Ruby Porto is a wine with an intense and well-defined ruby colour. Its intense aromas are reminiscent of very ripe fruit, refined by the careful aging in wood and the batches that occur during the natural aging process. Full-bodied and rich, it has a good balance between its sweetness and tannin structure, which gives it unique characteristics with a very persistent, fine and attractive finish. Traditionally, Ferreira Ruby Porto is served with creamy cheeses, but it also goes very well with chocolate desserts and fruit tarts.
