In accordance with the regulations of the Port Wine Institute, the grapes for this excellent port wine come exclusively from the wine-growing region in the Douro Valley in northern Portugal. The name “Old Tawny Port” is also protected and subject to strict rules. The wines must be stored in small wooden barrels for the specified time. With this product, the wines remain in oak barrels until they have reached their optimal maturity. The result of this long manufacturing process is a Tawny Port that impresses in the glass with its red color and an aroma of nuts and hazelnuts. The taste combines dried fruits with a hint of roasted coffee. This sophisticated port wine is ideal as a digestif and rounds off a fine meal together with the dessert.
