Very concentrated aroma, with balsamic notes of oak wood, fig, blackberry and tobacco, very full-bodied, fleshy flavor with ripe and round tannins. The finish is elegant, mineral, very persistent and complex.
Part of the grapes are trodden by foot in the mill. The rest are vinified in five-ton stainless steel vats, with controlled temperature and robotic pumping over.
Varieties: Old vines aged between 60 and 100 years: more than 35 varieties with a predominance of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca.
After malolactic fermentation, all wines are transferred to 225 liter French oak barrels where they remain for 18 months.
