On the nose it displays complexity, with red fruits, dry grasses, toasted almonds, spices, with a filament of clove and mint, floral notes of lavender, violets and even orange tree. In the mouth it impresses for its tannins, for the remarkable acidity, for the prolonged ending.
It is harmonious, finely greedy, elegant? I will stop here, as there are too many adjectives. Despite being well deserved, that’s enough as far as compliments are concerned.
I will only add a round of applause for the oenology team led by Luís Sottomayor, the brand’s third craftsman after the legendary Fernando Nicolau de Almeida and José Maria Soares Franco.
