Quinta de Porrais, which belonged to Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, is located in an area of the Douro Demarcated Region traditionally known for the high quality of its white wines. In its old vines, more than 60 years old, planted in schist soils and located at 600 meters of altitude, the varieties Rabigato and Códega de Larinho predominate. In the last few years the attention of white wine producers has been increasing, this interest came, as expected, to increase the average quality of these wines. It is from the Douro that perhaps the biggest surprises come when it comes to white wines.
