BLANDY'S 5 YEARS BUAL
Madeira Wine
- £15.28
- $18.60
Clear, amber colour with tinges of gold; a bouquet of dried fruit, vanilla, wood and toffee with a smooth, medium-sweet finish and an excellent balance between the fruit and acidity.
Food Pairing:
Blandy's 5 year old Bual is fined and does not require decanting. It is excellent as an after dinner drink and also very good with fruit, milk chocolate, cakes and hard cheeses. It has been bottled when ready for drinking and will keep for several months after opening.

86 points - Blandys 5 years Bual Madeira
The non-vintage 5-Year-Old Bual is showing a tad excessive volatility on the nose, which rather obfuscates the personality of the grape variety. The palate is elegant on the entry, which rings more true of a richer Verdelho than a Bual. It is very well crafted with light nougat and spice on the finish. The aromatics clear up with aeration. This is a pleasant Bual, but personally I would trade up to the 10-Year-Old.
