Passa is sourced from the schistose Passadouro and Sibia vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Douro. The grape varieties used are Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca from vines up to 60 years old. 30% of the wine is aged in used French barriques for 12 months while the rest is aged in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red in color, this wine has an elegant nose of red fruit, plum, and the black cherry characteristic of Touriga Franca. On the palate it is smooth and balanced with a pleasant acidity.
Food Pairing
Pair with mushroom risotto, grilled pork chops.
