Charme is a rare Douro wine. Its elegance and complexity, its enveloping, soft and ripe tannins are a unique way of expressing the very old, fresher and sheltered vineyards of Vale de Mendiz, in the middle of the Pinhão river valley in the heart of the Douro. Charme begins fermentation in traditional stone vats with 100% stem volume and ends in French oak barrels, aging for a period of 16 months. Only the best barrels are considered when making the final batch. A fresh wine, of great elegance, showing open color, great aromatic complexity. In the mouth it is long, with very velvety tannins contributing to a good structure, with mineral notes involving fresh red fruits, in a very long and rich set of great intensity and persistence.
