Alvarinho grapes with biologic produced are harvested by hand in the old vines with over 30 years of existing on Quinta dde Soalheiro, FirstVines.
The microclimate that influence the production of Alvarinho grapes is very particular. Melgaço, the most northern Portugal, is protected by a range of mountains that allow a perfect marriage between rainfall, temperature and hours of sunlight needed for better ripening of the grapesof Alvarinho.
This good sun exposure - sun spot - also gave the name to the plot that led to the brand. The grapes, exclusively from Alvarinho areharvested by hand in small boxes of capacity and transported to the cellar in a short time.
After pressing, the wort obtained decant for 48 hours, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature.
The fermentation occurs in stainless essentially the temperature very low (only 15% Vol of total fermented in oak casks used), with maintenance of fine lees until early May.
Personality: lemony yellow color, elegant and full flavor that grows in the glass, becoming increasingly persistent. The flavor is full bodied,fresh and taste great complexity.
