Alentejo Red Wine
Dom Rafael is a younger wine produced in the 100- year-old Adega of the Monchão estate.
It is made up of the grape varieties Aragonez, Trincadeira and particulary Alicante Bouchete.
The hand picked grapes are foot trodden and fermented in open lagares, subsequently, the wine is aged in oak and bottled a year after the vintage.
